West Ham manager David Moyes discusses the club’s transfer plans
West Ham manager David Moyes can’t guarantee that the Hammers will make any more signings this summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Everton boss revealed that while he wants to bring in some more players, he couldn’t promise Hammers fans that any more business would be completed.
However, he sounds hopeful that more players will arrive and perhaps hinted that some of the club’s business wouldn’t happen until the end of the window.

He said: “We’ve got a goalkeeper in so far, but there’s a long way to go in the window.
“We’re happy to have brought in [Alphonse] Areola as we felt improving on the competition in the goalkeepers was something we wanted to do. Everyone saw how well he performed last season for Fulham.
“I want to make sure we do have competition, and I’m hopeful that we will by the end of the transfer window. We’re always looking to see what options there are, but I hope by the end of the window, we’ll have more additions. I can’t guarantee anything.”
What to make of this?
Moyes does actually sound quite positive about the Hammers adding more players to their squad.
However, that last part is a bit concerning and suggests that the Irons could end this window with the same squad that they have now.
If that were to happen, then Moyes could be horribly exposed as the season progresses if the club suffers some injuries to key players.

West Ham have to do more business; they can’t leave the squad as it is.
Even if they do some transfer business later in the window, that wouldn’t be ideal but would at least mean they are doing something.
Overall, the West Ham boss sounds quietly confident about players arriving, and we hope that he is backed in this transfer window after what he achieved last season.
