West Ham make decision on Graham Potter deal on table after Lopetegui twist
Graham Potter remains “on standby” to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham United, according to talkSPORT.
The radio channel reported via their website on Tuesday [10 December] that the Spaniard is still on thin ice at the London Stadium despite leading the Irons to a 2-1 victory over Wolves on Monday, 9 December.
With several board members still unconvinced by Lopetegui, the deal for Potter to take the reins in East London until the end of the season will stay “on the table”.

Potter has been without a job since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023, but is now keen to return to management.
The English tactician is ready to replace Lopetegui at West Ham initially until the end of the season before both parties review the situation in the summer.
However, the former Wolves boss has bought himself some more time with the Hammers after Monday’s result saw them go nine points clear of the relegation zone.
The 58-year-old, though, does not have the full backing of the West Ham hierarchy, while fallouts with players will also not help his cause.
This is perhaps why the Irons have decided to keep Potter as an option should things go wrong for Lopetegui in the upcoming weeks.

The games against Bournemouth, Brighton, Southampton and Liverpool between now and the end of the season could determine the Spanish tactician’s future.
Tim Steidten, meanwhile, appears to be working on reinforcements in the January transfer window, with Corinthians hitman Yuri Alberto among those on his wishlist [UOL].
