West Ham-linked Matheus Pereira weighs up lucrative Al Hilal offer after bid tabled
West Brom star Matheus Pereira is considering a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia amid strong links with a move to West Ham.
ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco claims Al Hilal have made a £12.8million bid for the 25-year-old Brazilian who West Ham have been locked in talks over [Daily Express].
He wrote via his personal Twitter profile on Tuesday evening [27/07/21]: “Matheus Pereira considering Al Hilal’s offer. He would like to play in the Premier League but the salary is tempting. The Saudi club offered 15million Euros [£12.8million] to West Brom. They want £30million from PL clubs, but I would guess if no such offers are made they could accept at the end of the window.”
Act fast
There is no way that Pereira should be falling between the club’s fingertips this summer.
The Brazilian looks eager to quit West Brom after their relegation to the Championship was confirmed in May, and there does not appear to be any Champions League sides interested in him, certainly not from England.
With Europa League football on offer at the London Stadium this season, the Irons should be well and truly in the driving seat for his signature.

Al Hilal’s bid will surely be knocked back for now as it is a long way off West Brom’s valuation, but Branco’s parting statement seems to suggest they may begrudgingly accept a deal towards the end of the window.
It’s also said that Pereira would prefer a move to the Premier League this summer, but the fact he is still considering Al Hilal’s approach should be enough to make us go into overdrive.
If Jesse Lingard really cannot be snared from Manchester United this summer then Pereira is the perfect alternative, and we must ramp up our pursuit of the South American star.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have tabled a bid for this 23y/o midfielder who scored five Europa League goals last season.
