West Ham linked-Firpo looks to quit Barcelona this month – reports
West Ham-linked left-back Junior Firpo is reportedly looking to leave Barcelona this month, according to Sport.
Mundo Deportivo reported in December that the Hammers were interested in signing the full-back. He’s featured in thirteen games in all competitions this season.
The Spaniard joined Barcelona from Real Betis in 2019 in a deal worth £16m. It is understood Ronald Koeman now sees him as surplus to requirements.
The 24-year-old is said to be fed up with the lack of opportunities this season and is pushing for a move to play more than the 351 minutes he has thus far.
According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio this month, Barca are willing to let the left-back leave on loan in January.
It could prove to be a good signing for the Hammers, who are currently short of cover at left-back. Arthur Masuaku is side-lined for an unknown period of time, injury to Aaron Cresswell could prove catastrophic for Moyes’ men.
West Ham have kept four clean sheets in their last four games but are very light left-sided fullbacks, meaning Cresswell is playing a lot of games.

West Ham have twelve days to get a deal wrapped up before the window closes until the summer.
In other West Ham news, McAvennie has called for Moyes to be backed in the transfer market.
