West Ham likely to agree deal to sign Kurt Zouma in few days
West Ham are reportedly close to agreeing on a deal to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari.
The Hammers have been keen on signing the France international this summer, but were unable to match Chelsea’s valuation as they were standing firm on their £25million asking price. [90Min]
However, Longari, who reports for TV Dello Sport, has stated that they should agree a deal for the 26-year-old in a few days before he moves to the London Stadium.
Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “West Ham are still pushing for Kurt Zouma from Chelsea and a deal likely to be found in the next days. Talks on.”
Is it happening?
Chelsea are understood to be keen on signing Jules Kounde this summer and to get him to Stamford Bridge they would need to ship off a centre-back.
The funds generated from his sale would also be used in bringing him to the club, so Zouma could very well be the player Thomas Tuchel allows to leave.

We may sign him lower than the aforementioned fee which should be considered really good business.
For a change, playing the waiting game has helped us, and what we need to do now is submit another bid and hope that Chelsea accept it.
There’s not long left before the window shuts and we need him for our next league game or there’s a good chance we don’t sign him this summer.
