West Ham keen on Sevilla striker Luuk De Jong
West Ham are reportedly looking to explore a summer move for Sevilla forward Luuk De Jong.
According to 90Min, the Dutch international has appeared on the Hammers’ radar as Sevilla appear to be closing in on a £12million move for Wolves striker Rafa Mir.
The London outfit are desperate to sign a striker this summer and the 30-year-old has been considered as an option.

Bit too old
De Jong, with his 6ft 2in frame, is at an ideal height to lead the line for a Premier League club and we would love to have him at the London Stadium.
He may not be the fastest, but he’s extremely adept at holding the ball, getting others into play and using his aerial prowess to win headers in both boxes.
The 30-year-old is the type of player a manager throws on with 20 minutes left to play to go on and score a winner or an equaliser and he usually finds himself in the right places to grab a goal.

However, at 30, he does not have too many years left in the tank and we don’t believe he would be better than Michail Antonio.
What we need is someone younger, better and more mobile than the England-born attacker, and De Jong, unfortunately, is not the solution.
We wouldn’t mind having a player like him on the bench who David Moyes can bring on but not one we believe could lead the line and get us 15 goals in the Premier League.
Big decisions are to be made in the coming days and the boards to make them quickly.
