West Ham keen on January move for Aaron Ramsey

West Ham are already on alert about the potential availability of Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey in January, according to The Sun.

The Wales international, 30, is out of favour at Turin, and the Serie A giants are prepared to let him leave for nothing when the transfer window reopens in the winter.

Newcastle are also interested in recruiting the services of the former Arsenal star, and alongside the Hammers, they are keeping tabs on him even if he still has around two more years left on his contract.

Chance?

Ramsey has loads of Premier League experience and quality, and he definitely can help improve David Moyes’ side despite his struggles at Juventus.

The Welshman is on big money, though, and that could be a stumbling block for West Ham.

He has only played thrice across all competitions for them this term, starting once, and he could be very much open to leaving mid-way through the season in order to play regularly ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

Moyes could do with more creativity in the middle of the park, and Ramsey is an expert at that. He notched 65 goals and 65 assists in 371 appearances for Arsenal and is capable of playing in different roles.

The Juve man plays mainly as a box-to-box midfielder, but has also been deployed on the left and right wings, and that versatility could come good at the London Stadium.

West Ham are likely to be keen on strengthening their squad in January to boost their chances of finishing the campaign strongly, and the opportunity to sign a top player for nothing would be appealing.
