West Ham keen on Chelsea’s Armando Broja, to make enquiries about January deal
West Ham are looking to bring Chelsea’s Armando Broja to the London Stadium before the end of the January transfer window, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers insider claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon podcast on Monday evening (24 January at 47min40sec) that the Albanian forward, 20, has been watched by Head of Recruitment Rob Newman several times this season, with the Irons chief making trips to the South Coast to run the rule on the player currently on loan at Southampton.
However, landing Broja will be very difficult for the club as the Saints are trying to convince Chelsea to sell him for them this month.

Tough one
David Moyes would love to land such a quality forward as he fits the bill on so many fronts, but it could take a lot of cash to convince the Blues into parting with him.
Southampton and Chelsea also share a solid working relationship, and it will be hard for them to end his loan deal abruptly just to do business with West Ham.
Furthermore, Thomas Tuchel’s side are battling for the top-four, and strengthening a direct rival in the race for the Champions League places might not be particularly appealing to them.
Broja has two goals in two League Cup games for Southampton and another five in 18 Premier League games.

He has started 12 games across both competitions and is not guaranteed regular playing chances should he join the Hammers.
The youngster will be keen to continue his development at such a club, but a lot could change in the summer transfer window after his loan spell ends.
West Ham will be looking to do a deal this month, but that could prove very herculean, and it will be intriguing to see whether they can get one over the line.
