West Ham target Jordan Larsson agent confirms transfer interest

Jordan Larsson’s agent Michael Jansen has confirmed that a number of clubs are interested in signing the West Ham target this summer.

In an interview with Afton Bladet, Jansen said that the Spartak Moscow striker has interest from top clubs amid links to West Ham.

Jordan, the son of Swedish great Henrik Larsson, has enjoyed an impressive domestic season, bagging 15 goals and providing five assists in 28 league games.

The player has always had the desire of playing in Europe’s big five leagues and following in his father’s footsteps.

His dream could be fulfilled this summer, as his agent has confirmed there’s a growing interest in clubs looking to acquire his summers.

Jansen said, “He is followed by clubs from the biggest leagues but right now Jordan’s focus is on the league, to reach the Champions League and hopefully play in the European Championships with Sweden.

“Jordan is ambitious. Spartak knows that and they also know that he thrives in the club. It is a good combination to be able to have open and respectful discussions.”

West Ham

Big name to live up to

Following in the footsteps of an iconic footballer is never an easy thing, but thus far Larsson has done an impressive job in silencing his doubters.

Per The Daily Record, he was eyed by Manchester United seven years ago, but he chose not to go down that route and continued plying his trade in Sweden’s fourth division.

He then impressed and earned himself a move overseas and eventually found himself leading the line for Spartak Moscow.

Still only 23, the Swede is immensely talented and would be a welcome addition to this Hammers setup.

The concern would be whether West Ham can fend off interest from Borussia Dortmund, who are keen to sign him. They have an eye for upcoming talent and could offer the player Champions League football.

However, they wouldn’t be able to guarantee him regular playing time as we would, and that’s something very important for players at that age.

He would fit in well in the dressing room and would be complemented by the attacking riches we have on the field of play.

Still early days in his quest, but this is a player we have a good feeling about.
