West Ham: Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist make Jarrod Bowen Euro 2024 prediction live on air

West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to make England’s squad for Euro 2024 despite his “brilliant” form for the Hammers, according to Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist.

The Irons winger has been excellent for David Moyes’ side this season scoring 14 goals in 28 Premier League matches this season and the 27-year-old is reportedly set to start the Three Lions’ clash with Belgium.

While Stelling and McCoist are both in agreement that Bowen would be “unlucky” to miss out on Gareth Southgate’s squad this summer, they think there will be other attacking options ahead of the Hammers star.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Tuesday (26 March, 9:52) he said: “There’s another one we haven’t mentioned about playing through the middle.”

Stelling quickly agreed saying: “He’d be very unlucky to miss out, but I fear that he probably will. He’s had a brilliant season, not just this season but season after season after season.”

McCoist quickly replied: “You could be right, but he’d be very unlucky. Isn’t it amazing, when these squad get names the first thing that you and I will do is sit here and have a conversation about the boys that haven’t made it.”

Will West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen play for England at Euro 2024?

If you asked West Ham fans whether or not Bowen should be included in England’s squad for this summer’s tournament, the response would almost certainly be a resounding yes given the 27-year-old’s form this season.

Bowen has been a force not only in the Premier League but on the European stage for a number of seasons now and it would be ridiculous if those performances weren’t rewarded with a seat on the plane to Germany this summer.

West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen
Jarrod Bowen has scored some important goals for West Ham United this season.

Hopefully, he will impress against Belgium on Tuesday (26 March) and show Southgate and those in charge at Wembley that he can be a real game-changer on the international stage as he has been at a club level.

He may not be perfect to start week in and week out, especially when competing against the likes of Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden for a starting role, but he is capable of moments of magic like he produced in Prague.
