West Ham in talks to release Felipe Anderson for free – Fabrizio Romano

West Ham United are in shock talks to release Felipe Anderson for free, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist has shared the major update, claiming that the Irons would then receive a percentage of any future sale from Lazio.

It is suggested that the move would help save wages for the Irons to use elsewhere, with personal terms already agreed with his former club.

Romano shared the major update on his personal Twitter account, in a move that could anger many fans.

“West Ham are now in talks with Lazio to release Felipe Anderson for free to save his salary and then receive a percentage on the future sale,” he wrote.

“Personal terms agreed.”

Surely not.

Only West Ham and GSB would allow one of their club-record signings to leave on a free a matter of years later.

Anderson may not have had the best time at the London Stadium, but the fact he could be allowed to leave for nothing is a joke.

Lazio will be laughing at this deal and at the chance to bring back a former star of the club for nothing but his wages; something that is already agreed upon.

David Moyes will want money to spend immediately, and yes, wages saved will give him some, but not enough to bring in another superstar for big money.

A sell-on clause is only of use should Lazio sell the player on, and they aren’t exactly going to do that anytime soon.

This is a huge misjudgement, and we hope it doesn’t come back to bite us if it does eventually happen this month.
