West Ham in pole position for Nikola Vlasic signing – report

West Ham United are in pole position to sign CSKA Moscow playmaker Nikola Vlasic this summer, according to Daniele Longo.

The Calciomercato journalist shared that the Hammers were in contact with the agent of the Croatian on Tuesday evening.

It is suggested that it will cost up to £21.8million for Vlasic, who has been at Everton earlier in his career.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this week, Longo shared that Kurt Zouma and their defence aren’t the only signings the Irons are pushing ahead with.

“West Ham on pole for Vlasic, scheduled contact in the evening with the agent of the Croatian national team.

“The Hammers are approaching the $30million demand (£21.8million).”

Pole.

It was shared this week by the Telegraph that Vlasic is being considered as an alternative to Jesse Lingard.

The playmaker has been a priority target this summer after his stunning loan last season, but it is proving much harder than many thought it would.

ESPN have shared that an enquiry has been swiped away by Manchester United, which may accelerate this deal for Vlasic.

The Croatian has been in brilliant form since leaving the Premier League, being involved in 54 goals in his 107 appearances in Russia.

Reinforcements are needed in the final third, and this could be the signing to hand the Irons just that.
