West Ham in hunt to sign Ola Aina, Torino willing to listen to offers

David Moyes is already looking to the summer for new signings and the West Ham boss is interested in Ola Aina at Torino, according to AllNigeriaSoccer.com.

The 25-year-old will enter the final year of his current contract with the Serie A side next season and he will be put on the transfer list if he doesn’t sign a new deal in Turin.

The Hammers face competition from fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace and French Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille in the race to sign the Nigerian.

West Ham

Torino and Aina are in talks over his exit from the club this summer and the club are willing to listen to any offers that come in for the versatile defender.

Home comforts

While Aina may have never played for the Irons, he would feel right at home in the capital having previously played for Fulham in the Premier League.

He was also a product of the Chelsea academy where he featured three times for the Blues on their way to winning the 2016-17 Premier League under Antonio Conte.

West Ham

He would be a very smart acquisition for Moyes and West Ham, given how he shouldn’t need much time to readjust to London life and he can offer great options on the pitch.

He possesses searing pace that makes him a formidable opponent to get past for any attacker running at him and his ability to play anywhere across the back four is incredibly useful when games are piling up as they are.

He might not come in as an instant starter but having him on the bench to cover any defensive area would be a huge relief for Moyes considering the lack of numbers at the back for the Irons at the moment.

In other West Ham news, an ever-present under Moyes could ask for an eye-watering new deal worth £120,000 per week.
