West Ham have slim chances to sign players after £50m bid knocked back
West Ham are not close to signing anybody in the January transfer window, according to reports from Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers have been linked with a host of players this month, with signing a striker and a centre-back remaining top priorities for the club.
However, the reality is there’s a slim chance of buying a striker despite the fact the Hammers are said to have had a £50million rejected for a striker recently.

However, the identity of the mysterious player for whom West Ham offered such a huge sum remains unknown.
The report adds that the chances of signing that player or any other player this month, is very slim, less than five per cent.
Strange
So why West Ham are not moving on to other targets?
The report states that the players that have been put to the manager aren’t deemed good enough for the club apart from that mysterious striker.
It’s unclear at the moment whether the Hammers boss is at all trying to sign a defender this month.
In the case of landing a striker, West Ham have been linked with players like Ben Brereton Diaz [Teamtalk], but surely, he won’t cost £50million.

Anything can happen in the next few days but surely West Ham must sign someone.
We all know that Moyes doesn’t want to sign just for the sake of it, but the situation probably demands an action.
The club must look to reinforce and push hard for the top-four challenge. It seems, the chances are high that the Hammers may not sign any players at all.
