West Ham have not received formal approach for Declan Rice

West Ham are yet to receive any formal offer for the summer sale of Declan Rice, according to Claret and Hugh’s Hugh Southon.

In the report, he claims that nothing has happened in terms of a direct club-to-club approach for the England international.

Rice’s future has been subject to plenty of speculation with the likes of Manchester United, City and Chelsea linked with a summer move.

Staying?

There are no guarantees about whether or not the England international wants to commit his future to the club.

If this case was made in the summer, he would probably be more optimistic as it was a season of European football.

Along with that, the Hammers showed that they’re capable of having a good transfer window as they made a number of quality signings.

However, in January, when signings were imperative, they failed to even make one new addition to the team.

West Ham

If the Hammers don’t show ambition in the summer, Rice may not want to waste another year in his career.

He may only be 23 still, but he would want to play in the biggest of tournaments and challenge for silverware every season.
