West Ham given Max Allegri answer as Julen Lopetegui replacement on cards
Massimiliano Allegri has rejected every enquiry and proposal that has come his way amid interest from West Ham United, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Italian outlet reported via their website on Monday [9 December] that the manager’s response to interest from any club, whether it be the Irons, AS Roma or a Saudi Pro League outfit, has been the same, contrary to claims he is open to taking the reins at the London Stadium [talkSPORT].
He is reportedly not keen on the idea of taking on a new job midway through the season as it does not guarantee his future and the January transfer window is not favourable.
West Ham given Max Allegri answer as Julen Lopetegui replacement on cards
Allegri is one of several managers linked with the managerial job in East London as Julen Lopetegui faces an uncertain future there.
There are shouts for the Spanish tactician to be sacked as the Hammers find themselves 14th in the Premier League after as many games, sitting six points above the relegation zone.
The former Sevilla boss has managed to avoid the sack for now, but Monday’s match against Wolves at home could determine his immediate future.
A loss against his former employers could be the final nail in the coffin for Lopetegui at West Ham, with David Sullivan and co seemingly on the lookout for possible replacements.

The Irons are also prepared to hire someone on an interim basis before making a long-term decision at the end of the season [The Telegraph].
Such an arrangement would appeal more to Graham Potter than a candidate like Allegri or Edin Terzic abroad.
In other West Ham news, a January signing is on the cards as the Irons have been told the asking price for this 31-goal striker.
