David Moyes admitted as shared by Football London, after the 1-0 defeat against Sevilla that he is uncertain when the forward can return to the side.

Need him back

Bowen picked up an Achilles injury during the 1-0 defeat against Liverpool last week.

The 25-year-old has undergone two scans already. The first scan revealed that there was nothing substantially wrong. It seems the second scan also didn’t find any fractures or deep damage.

However, he got badly injured and the pain is there. It could take some time to heal properly.

Bowen remained in London as the Hammers lost against Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League clash on Thursday (10 March) away from home.

Moyes will feel that the Hammers still have got a very good chance of winning the game in the second leg but they need their in-form player, Bowen, back at the earliest.

One of the major problems the Hammers are facing is that they are struggling to score. They are creating good chances, but are not clinical enough.
