West Ham find ‘perfect’ swap deal with Roma to sign Nicola Zalewski, Gianluca Scamacca to return to Italy

West Ham may have found the “perfect” swap deal for striker Gianluca Scamacca in the form of Roma ace Nicola Zalewski, according to Claret & Hugh.

The publication notes that the Polish “wizkid” has a bright future ahead of him after a busy season in Italy under Jose Mourinho.

Claret & Hugh added that the 21-year-old would represent a superb signing for the Hammers amid the likely exit of Scamacca this summer.

“West Ham may have found a perfect Gianluca Scamacca swap deal in the shape of Roma wide player Nicola Zalewski. Roma are keen to repatriate the £35m front man to Italy and may have the perfect bargaining chip,” according to Claret & Hugh.

“Nicola Zalewski could prove to be a great choice for the Hammers to pursue during this summer transfer. Whilst he might not have been as prolific as Jose would have hoped, he does have a lot of promise.

“At 21, the future is quite bright for the Polish wizkid as long as he continues to develop his all-around game with each season.”

Exciting prospect

West Ham have a lot of bargaining chips themselves this summer, with the East London outfit holding all the cards when it comes to the likely exit of star midfielder and club captain Declan Rice.

The same can perhaps be said of their forward Scamacca, who is seemingly attracting interest from Serie A giants Roma, with the Hammers then able to have a brief look at the Italian club to see if they possess a player that could move in the other direction in a deal for their struggling striker.

And versatile youngster Zalewski represents an exciting potential swap for West Ham, who could kill two birds with one stone by getting Scamacca off their books and signing up a talented youngster who could thrive in claret and blue.

It’s never easy for any player to have an issue-free season under the one and only Mourinho, but the Polish youngster was heavily relied upon by the Portuguese manager last season, with Zalewski making a huge 47 appearances in all competitions.
