West Ham face competitions from Juventus, Inter for signing of Filip Kostic

West Ham are facing competition from two Italian clubs for the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Filip Kostic, according to Calciomercato.

The Hammers have been in the market to sign players to bolster the squad ahead of the next campaign and have been linked with the 29-year-old for the same purpose.

As per the latest report, the Hammers are in a three-way race to sign Kostic who has also been attracting interest from the likes of Serie A sides Juventus and Inter Milan.

After losing to Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-finals last season, it seems that David Moyes has already identified which areas are absolutely must to strengthen before the start of the next campaign.

The bolstering of the full-back department was definitely on the agenda as there is clearly overreliance on Aaron Cresswell who is already 32-year-old.

Looking at how Kostic has performed in the last few seasons, it makes absolute sense that the Irons are keen on signing him for the next campaign.

The Serbia international has been a Frankfurt player since the summer of 2019 when he moved from fellow German club Hamburger SV in a deal worth £5.4 million.

Since then, Kostic has represented his current club in 169 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score 33 goals and provided a whopping 63 assists.
