West Ham enter talks for Kurt Zouma deal
West Ham United have entered talks to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports journalist has reported that the Irons would need to pay more than £20million they are willing to offer.
With talks underway, that could be whittled down with David Moyes keen to increase options in his defence.
Writing on his personal Twitter account on Thursday afternoon, Solhekol shared the major update for Irons fans.
“West Ham in talks to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea,” he wrote.
“Willing to pay £20m. Will cost more.”
That would be a major fee for GSB to fork out given their track record.
Zouma has been influential for Chelsea in the past couple of years.
The Frenchman starred under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel and played a big role in winning the Champions League last season.
This would be the perfect signing for our style, and a huge upgrade on Fabian Balbuena who has recently left the club.
With our set-piece delivery a real weapon from the likes of Aaron Cresswell, Zouma could rival the goals of Tomas Soucek.
There is still some way to go on this one if it was to be completed, but hopefully, GSB and the Irons can add the required fee on top of that £20million to seal the deal.
With Alphonse Areola also at Rush Green to complete his move, this double French move could kickstart the perfect month at the London Stadium.
