Graham Potter has delivered some mixed team news update ahead of West Ham United's clash with Brighton.

Potter will be desperate for his West Ham side to get back to winning ways when they take on his former side Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday (26 April).

The Hammers have gone six Premier League matches without a victory, most recently being held 1-1 by bottom side Southampton.

Potter is already starting to feel the heat in the London Stadium dugout, making this showdown with Brighton all the more important.

Wan-Bissaka injury update shared

Potter spoke to reporters at Rush Green on Thursday (24 April) and was asked for an update on his squad availability.

The Irons boss confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be back with the squad, having missed last week's clash with Southampton through injury.

However, Edson Alvarez will miss out with a back injury, with Potter adding he is hopeful the midfielder will be back to face Tottenham the following weekend.

Beyond that, Potter said the longer-term absentees, namely Michail Antonio, are still absent as expected.

West Ham have poor record v Brighton

West Ham have won just one of their 15 Premier League meetings with Brighton, albeit that came in this corresponding fixture on the South Coast last season.

The Irons have taken five points from their last nine available against Brighton in the Premier League, which is just one fewer than they had in their first 12 such meetings.

Another defeat this weekend would see the unrest grow further behind the scenes at the London Stadium, with a number of players already being lined up for summer exits.

Potter knows this is a results industry, and as brutal as it may sound, he may not even be given a summer to turn things around if West Ham do not pick up wins soon.

The Englishman will himself be fully aware of that and he simply needs every player - or those who are available, at least - to stand up between now and the end of the campaign.
