West Ham deal for Ajax ace Mohammed Kudus in danger of collapsing amid ‘complicated situation’
Mohammed Kudus’ transfer from Ajax to West Ham is close to being off for now, according to Patrick Berger.
The Sport1 chief reporter provided an update via Twitter (21 August), claiming that the transfer is a “complicated situation” with both sides struggling to agree upon a deal for the 23-year-old Ghana international.
It leaves the attacking midfielder’s move to another Premier League club on the verge of collapsing after a switch to Brighton broke down previously during the current transfer window.
In the meantime, the Hammers are still pursuing a deal for Rennes’ 21-year-old winger Jeremy Doku.
Yet again
It seems as if David Moyes could once again see his side miss out on another transfer target. It has been a busy summer for the East London outfit at the London Stadium with multiple high-profile signings as well as sales. Declan Rice’s big-money move left the club with plenty of money to spend.
And they have so far splashed this cash on the arrivals of James Ward-Prowse from Southampton and Edson Alvarez from Ajax. Although it seems that Kudus won’t be following his former teammate on a flight from Amsterdam. After missing out on Elye Wahi, Moyes would have been hopeful he could at least land one attacking target.

However, it now seems as if the Kudus deal is set to follow the same pattern as previous deals this summer which have broken down, and the club might now be forced to pin even more of their hopes of landing an attacking player on a move for Doku, which will not be easy to pull off.
In other West Ham news, the club could be reportedly missing out on another target in the eleventh hour.
