
West Ham could activate two-year contract extension for Ben Johnson – Roshane Thomas
Ben Johnson has been superb for West Ham but he only has a contract at the club until the end of the season.
According to Roshane Thomas of The Athletic, the Hammers have till the end of the season to trigger a two-year contract extension.
Given his mercurial rise this season, he feels it is only a matter of time before the Hammers will exercise that option.

No brainer
The 21-year-old is a versatile defender who has made a huge impact this season for the Hammers.
He is a dependable member of the squad, and has established himself as a regular starter for David Moyes’s side.
The youngster is also on the radar of England under-21 manager Lee Carsley, he is on the verge of international recognition.

Johnson, who has played as both right and left back, has produced assured performances at the back, with Moyes hailing him as a “fabulous” after West Ham’s 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
He is yet to provide an assist in a competitive game for the first team so far, and this is one area where Moyes would like him to improve going forward.
The young exciting talent has done enough to earn a contract extension at the club, and it seems he will be rewarded soon. He is set to play a key role this season with West Ham having top-four aspirations.
