West Ham cool interest in signing Napoli winger Hirving Lozano
West Ham United have cooled their interest in signing Napoli winger Hirving Lozano this summer, according to Ilmattino.it.
The Hammers have been in the market to sign a wide player and have been heavily linked with Jesse Lingard but the player has decided to join Nottingham Forest.
There have been reports of the Irons’ interest in the Mexico international but as per the latest report, their interest has failed to take off.

Time to look alternative:
West Ham are having a more than decent transfer window where they’ve already made a number of key signings including centre-back Nayef Aguerd, midfielder Flynn Downes and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
They are close to completing another signing after agreeing to a fee with Italian club Sassuolo for striker Gianluca Scamacca.
However, the Hammers would be slightly gutted after losing out on Lingard who opted to join Forest on a 12-month deal with an option to extend.
But making a move for someone like Lozano would have been a risky call anyway and therefore, it would’ve been wise for them to look elsewhere from the very beginning.

The Mexico international joined Napoli in the summer of 2019 from the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth £40.5 million.
Since then, he has represented his current club in 114 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score 26 times and provided 13 assists [Transfermarkt].
