West Ham contact Jesse Lingard's agents
West Ham have made contact with Jesse Lingard’s agents, according to a new report.
Claret & Hugh claim that the Irons are continuing talks with the England man’s representatives, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future could become an important factor in any potential move.
This is because Lingard believes that he would have more chance of playing time under a new manager, should Manchester United decide that Solskjaer isn’t the man for them anymore.
The Red Devils have an embarrassment of riches in forward areas, and Lingard just can’t force his way into the starting XI in either the Premier League or the Champions League.
The Red Devils are willing to sell Lingard for just £10million in January, and with talks ongoing, you would think the Irons have a good chance of adding him to the squad [Sun].
So, Hammers fans better just sit and hope that Solskjaer is still the Manchester United manager come January.
If he is, then Lingard could decide to make a move permanently back to the London Stadium.
He has only made eight appearances this season in which he has played just 63 minutes in the Premier League, which is poor.
Remember, while he was with the Hammers, he was described as “unbelievable” by Andy Goldstein, so he can be a superb player for the Irons [talkSPORT].
Therefore, might he realise the mistake that he made in the summer and end up back at the London Stadium under David Moyes?
Well, it seems more likely as things stand, so we will keep a close eye on this transfer as the January window approaches.
