West Ham consider deadline day loan move for Jesse Lingard
West Ham are considering a late move to sign Jesse Lingard on loan from Manchester United on the deadline day.
According to Mirror Football’s James Nursey who shared the report on the transfer live blog feed [31 January; 09:53], the Hammers are still in the picture to sign the 29-year-old.
Lingard made a huge impact at the London Stadium on loan a year ago, where he scored nine goals and provided five assists in just 16 games.

He has struggled for regular games at Old Trafford this season, and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club throughout this month.
Newcastle United were interested in signing him. with 90min reporting that the player has already agreed terms with the Magpies on a move that will see him join on loan until the end of the season.
However, as it stands, West Ham are still in the race as well.
Indecisive
This has been a frustrating transfer window for the Hammers, and David Moyes must share a chunk of the blame for it.
Knowing how crucial the window is and what it means for their top-four hopes, failing to sign a striker and a central defender could haunt them at the end of the season.
The reported bids for Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha [The Telegraph] suggest that there was money to spend and the board was willing to back the manager.
It doesn’t make sense why would West Ham wait for so long to sign Lingard when they clearly know what he can bring to the table.

With time running out, West Ham are struggling to sign players. Darwin Nunez from Benfica looks unlikely while Hugo Ekitike has agreed to join Newcastle.
According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, West Ham are not in the race to sign Divock Origi either.
We can only hope that the Hammers can somehow manage to pull off some late deals today.
