Good news for the Hammers?

With the transfer window in full swing and with the start of the Premier League season edging closer and closer, you would have thought West Ham would already have a Head of Recruitment in place.

However, it has not worked out like that, and it is good that the club believe they are close to appointing someone to help Moyes get all of his targets.

The Hammers had a sublime 2020/21 season, but there are a few areas of the squad which need adding to before West Ham begin their Europa League campaign.

Moyes apparently wants a striker, a central midfielder, and a centre-back, and there are probably other positions that could be strengthened as well [Claret & Hugh].

So, it will be intriguing to see who they appoint to help the Hammers get these players and ensure that Moyes’ squad is in the best possible shape for the 2021/22 season, which could prove to be a memorable campaign.

In other West Ham news, the club have accidentally confirmed a major arrival.
