West Ham confident Declan Rice’s valuation will deter potential suitors
West Ham United star Declan Rice is attracting interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United this summer.
However, the club have not received a bid for him and are confident his valuation will deter any potential suitors, according to The Athletic.
Hammers manager David Moyes claimed back in March that Rice is worth far more than £100million, and it remains to be seen whether any club are willing to meet that price this summer.
Smart move
We really do not know exactly how much West Ham have slapped on the midfielder’s head, but he is at least worth £100million.
He has proven his worth for both club and country over the last two seasons and continues to do so.
It is evident to see why three of the biggest clubs in the land want Rice, and it would not come as a surprise if their counterparts outside of England come calling too.
At Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd, Rice is being offered the chance to play Champions League and win silverware every season, and we agree that is as tempting as they come.
However, Moyes has shown us that the potential is there too at West Ham.
We were a win away from finishing in the top-four last term, and a solid squad depth would help boost our chances going forward.
Losing Rice in the long run feels inevitable, but making more quality additions to the team and strongly challenging for trophies could change all that.
