West Ham closer to personal terms agreement with Kurt Zouma

West Ham United are now closer to agreeing personal terms with Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to ExWHUemployee.

The club insider has reported that talks have continued this week, and the two clubs are still £5million apart in their valuations.

Zouma is said to fancy the move to the London Stadium, and more updates were tipped to happen on Wednesday.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon, Ex shared the major update that makes us believe this one could go down to the wire.

“Talks for Zouma continued today as I said it would and the clubs can’t agree on the asking price although it appears that terms with the player did get a bit closer.

“Whilst the evaluations on the overall price are not that far apart, about £5million. Zouma also wants to join West Ham. I think there will be further updates tomorrow.”

Progress.

On the same day as Sky Sports journalist, Dharmesh Sheth suggested the deal looked very unlikely, we have been given hope.

Talks are progressing with each passing day, and it appears as though we could be very close to a breakthrough with Zouma.

That would leave the hurdle of agreeing the fee, believed to be around £25million with Chelsea in the next three weeks.

If our London rivals want to secure big-money moves for the likes of Jules Kounde and Romelu Lukaku, they could change their minds very quickly.

The ball appears to be in our court, and with Chelsea looking to raise funds, the Irons could be the big benefactors of that.

Should personal terms be agreed, the move should progress very quickly – let’s hope that happens in the next week or so.
