“We’re probably getting to the state where every test was coming back negative, and then suddenly we were shocked by it.

“We were prepared that this could happen, I think we’re seeing that there has been a rise recently in people picking it up.

“We’re seeing it quite a lot more at football clubs as well actually so thankfully everybody around the club’s done well and really well after the situation before the Hull game.”

We’re glad that Moyes has come out of this unscathed and is ready to continue managing the Hammers in the Premier League.

It has been a big couple of weeks with him away and those wins over Wolves and Leicester have added to what has been an unpredictable start to the Premier League season across the board.

Although Moyes wasn’t at the matches, it would have been his tactics, team selection and management that helped West Ham win those games.

Irvine definitely deserves a lot of credit for the work he did in Moyes’ absence but we cannot talk about those games as though the Scot didn’t do anything.

In other West Ham news, Bournemouth have rejected a £13million bid by the Irons for Joshua King.
