West Ham back in talks for Kurt Zouma with medical scheduled

West Ham are reportedly still in talks with Chelsea over defender Kurt Zouma and the medical that was scheduled for today (Thursday) has not been cancelled.

According to Telefoot reporter Julien Maynard, talks resumed between the two clubs on Wednesday evening.

This came only two hours after Maynard broke the news that the deal was completely off with the two clubs deciding to cancel the deal.

He wrote, “Twist in the Kurt Zouma file. While the player’s medical visit was scheduled, Chelsea and West Ham returned to a point of the contract and decided to cancel the deal.

“The defender will not engage with the Hammers.”

Ridiculous

For two whole hours, the French reporter sent social media into a frenzy and completely agitated the Hammers fans.

It appeared that, much like Nikola Milenkovic, the club pulled the plug on the signing at the eleventh hour, but that does not seem to be the case now.

The player’s medical was scheduled for today and it looks like it’s going ahead which would mean that everyone is confident of the transfer happening.

David Moyes is looking for defensive reinforcements this summer, and the 26-year-old would be a perfect fit in his system.

West Ham

Zouma is quick, good in the air and a terrific passer. He walks into the West Ham playing eleven and would certainly improve the players around him.

While he may end up becoming one of the club’s highest earners, he’s got the quality to back it up and we cannot wait to see how he fares for the London outfit.
