West Ham attacker Armstrong Okoflex arrives at Swansea for his medical
West Ham attacker Armstrong Okoflex has arrived at Swansea for his medical with him joining on loan, confirms manager Russell Martin.
The young attacker made his Hammers debut in the Europa Conference League qualifier against Viborg and will now ply his trade in the second division of English football this season.
He is expected to be in contention for his debut on Wednesday 31 August when the Swans take on Stoke City.

According to Wales Online, Martin said, “We also have Armstrong Okoflex in the building, he’s currently doing his medical. He’s someone completely different to anything we’ve got in the building.
“He’s a wide player who really likes to get at people. Fortunately for us, we’ve had people at both clubs who have recognised there might be an opportunity here for young players, because our situation financially hasn’t changed.”
Good move
Okoflex is a talented youngster who’s got glowing recommendations at the London Stadium.
For him to go out on loan and showcase his skills is precisely the right thing to do and the Hammers will be glad that he’s been sent out to a club in the Championship.
Often, when players go overseas, they get accustomed to a certain brand of football and the tempo and physicality of that league is not the same.
The Championship game has gotten better and there are a number of talented managers there to ensure that the quality of football is high.
Martin himself is an attack-minded coach and it will be interesting to see how the 20-year-old Irishman fares at the Welsh club.
Hopefully, he has a strong season and is in contention to be a first-team player for West Ham in 2023/24 as he’s undoubtedly got an extremely high ceiling.
