West Ham ace Tomas Soucek takes aim at UEFA after Lyon win

Tomas Soucek has claimed that UEFA doesn’t trust the West Ham players after a “unique performance” saw him and Vladimir Coufal brought in for a doping test.

The Hammers duo played a key role in helping their side beat Lyon 3-0 [4-1 on aggregate] at the Groupama Stadium last night.

Goals from Craig Dawson, Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen carried the Irons into the Europa League semi-final where they will face Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

He said on Twitter: “They don’t trust us again!!! Doping test after unique game!!!!

“Yeeeeeeees!! We are going through”

Abnormally good.

Soucek’s tweet is poking some fun at UEFA but the West Ham players probably aren’t used to being dragged in straight after kick-off for a doping test like they have been frequently as they reach the latter stages of the Europa League.

Of course, they would have experienced it in the Premier League but UEFA operates by slightly different rules.

West Ham

They obviously weren’t but you could easily think the Hammers were doping with the breathtaking levels they have shown particularly in the Europa League this season.

David Moyes has worked wonders with these players because they look like a completely different team to what was a couple of years ago when he took over – hats off to the Scot.

The Irons completely outclassed Lyon last night [April 14] and thoroughly deserved the win.

They will face their biggest test yet in the next round against the Germans but only three games stand in the way of them and the trophy which is more than enough motivation to go out and get the job done.
