West Ham ace Michail Antonio given 50/50 chance to play v Sevilla – report
West Ham ace Michail Antonio has been given a 50/50 chance of featuring against Sevilla on Thursday (March 17) despite having a “small injury”, according to Claret & Hugh.
The striker was subbed off in the Hammers’ 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on the weekend with what was expected to be a thigh tear.
However, thorough scans have revealed the injury isn’t as bad as first feared with the Jamaican now facing a race against time to be fit for the vital second leg of their last 16 Europa League tie against Sevilla.

Worth the risk?
It is brilliant news that the squad’s one and only strikers’ injury isn’t as bad as first feared. West Ham have run the risk of having no options up front ever since they failed to replace Sebastian Haller when he left east London for Ajax.
Surely this will be the last scare the fans face before the Irons offer Antonio support in the summer transfer window, enough is enough.

He will be a huge miss alongside potentially absent Jarrod Bowen for what is the Hammers’ biggest game of the season against the La Liga side.
It is just David Moyes’ luck that he missed the winger in the first leg and now he faces losing the team’s second most influential player in Antonio.
Even with the game as important as it is, it might not be worth risking the 31-year-old.
There are still so many games left to play and it would be a huge shame for the wheels to fall off now in what has been the best season for a long time for the Irons.
