West Ham ace Andriy Yarmolenko pictured laughing after red card

West Ham ace Andriy Yarmolenko’s attitude has come under scrutiny for yet another controversial reaction whilst in claret and blue.

The Ukrainian international was on the back end of a questionable red card whilst playing for the Hammers U23 side yesterday (February 11).

He was pictured laughing as he walked off the pitch which is a perfect summary as to how his Irons career is going at the minute.

End is near

Yarmolenko’s West Ham career is surely over. He has shown glimpses of the player we signed from Borussia Dortmund way back in 2018 but has failed to make a proper impact in east London.

He has been quite unfortunate with injuries but now aged 32 and with the Irons looking to improve year upon year they have to cut him loose.

His attitude is the real issue. The winger is one of the Hammers highest paid players at the club which is completely unjustified considering his impact of late.

Every time he plays, he looks disinterested and the fans are quickly beginning to tire of it.

First, it was the lack of reaction to the Hammers’ last gasp winner in the FA Cup and now he has embarrassed himself with the U23s.

It’s almost as if he stopped caring when the club decided not to renew his contract last year.

If David Moyes’ squad wasn’t so stretched, you could go as far as saying he could be iced out at the club with his contract coming to a close at the end of the season.

However, we need all hands on deck from now until the end of the season and despite his questionable attitude, Yarmolenko has proved on multiple occasions he is an able footballer and one that might have one last chance of redemption from now until the end of the season.
