West Ham early team news confirmed v Tottenham as Moyes makes admission
By James Evans
David Moyes addressed the media this morning as his West Ham side look ahead to this weekend’s Premier League clash with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
Moyes has stated that he will “assess” his players following last night’s Europa League showdown against Sevilla. The Irons progressed through to the last eight following an extra-time winner from Andriy Yarmolenko.
West Ham are set to travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday as they look to maintain the push for European football next season.

Speaking this morning, per West Ham United’s official website, Moyes spoke on last night’s performance: “I wasn’t surprised about us getting the result last night because I felt we could do it, against a really good, experienced team.
“We have to just take Sunday like any other game and the importance of it.”
Ahead of this weekend’s outing, Moyes explained that he will take a look at his first-team this morning: “We have a few limping but you expect that after a tough game.
“We’ll assess them all this morning and see how they are. It’s a bit early to know a lot about the team.”

Good and Bad news
In their last league fixture, the Hammers picked up all three points at home to Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.
Fullback Ben Johnson will be looking to keep up his good run of form. The youngster was called up to the England Under-21s side for the first time ahead of their fixtures against Andorra and Albania.
Johnson, 22, has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season. The defender can operate either on the right or left-hand side.
The bad news for the Irons is that they will be without top scorer Jarrod Bowen, who will be out until after the international break. Scoring 12 goals this season, Bowen’s absence is a huge blow for Moyes’ men.
In his absence, the Hammers will look to Michail Antonio to score West Ham’s goals. Unfortunately, the goals have dried up for the forward in recent weeks.
They will also be hoping that both Pablo Fornals and Saïd Benrahma are in full form this weekend as West Ham look to chase a spot in the Champions League.
As it stands, Moyes’ side are three points off fourth-placed Arsenal. A win over Conte’s Tottenham will give The Irons full confidence going into key games.
