Wout Weghorst gave the visitors the lead and Maxwel Cornet missed the chance to double the advantage from the spot, with Tomas Soucek equalising from close range in the second half.
Nick Pope made several vital saves for caretaker manager Michael Jackson’s side as West Ham fell five points behind Tottenham in the race for a top-four spot, having played a game more than their London rivals.
All-Or-Nothing
With any realistic hope of Champions League qualification coming in the Premier League gone, West Ham should be doing everything they can to gain it through the Europa League.
The Irons were never expected to be in this position at the start of the season but now that they are it’s crucial they make the most of it and don’t allow this opportunity to really establish themselves pass them by.
We’ve seen with Leicester the consequences of failing to take advantage, with the Foxes now meandering in mid-table after narrowly missing out on the top four for the previous two seasons.

If West Ham want to keep the likes of Declan Rice at the club it is crucial they are playing some form of European football, and the 23-year-old is more than likely going to want it to be Europe’s elite competition.
That is where David Moyes and his men have set the bar following their sensational campaign up to this point.
Now it is up to them to go and reach it.
