Update emerges on West Ham United manager David Moyes amid Celtic links

West Ham boss David Moyes is reportedly not being considered for the Celtic hot seat as Ange Postecoglou edges closer to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports circulating in the British press claimed that Moyes was a priority option for the Hoops, but Sun’s Alan Nixon, has poured cold water on the speculation.

When asked whether Moyes was being considered by Celtic, he responded in the negative on Twitter, writing, “No”.

That settles it?

It’s lazy journalism to link every possible manager to a vacant hot seat if there’s speculation of a change at the helm.

Postecoglou is unlikely to reject Spurs to stay at Celtic so there’s a very good chance that the defending SPFL champions

Moyes appears to have done his job taking West Ham as far as he could and the expectation is that he might be shown the door after the cup final.

A move to Celtic may suit him as it will give him a fresh break and a different culture and also returning to his home country.

He has always spoken about potentially managing in Scotland and this will give him the chance of doing exactly that.

However, there does not seem to be any interest, as things stand, although these things can change quickly so it’s premature to rule anything out.
