Troy Deeney wowed by what he saw West Ham United star do v Arsenal
Troy Deeney claimed one West Ham player was at his best against Arsenal, naming him in his Premier League team of the week.
West Ham claimed an excellent 1-0 victory against Arsenal on Saturday which will have no doubt have taken some pressure off Graham Potter’s shoulders.
Although his side remains 16th in the Premier League table, having picked up a second win under his management, the boss will be hoping that more optimism is ahead.

Deeney picks out Aaron Wan-Bissaka for West Ham
Jarrod Bowen’s goal proved to be the difference as the Hammers came away from The Emirates with all three points.
It won’t matter to the Irons, who took away the important points, but it was not an easy game to see out with Arsenal having 68 per cent of the possession as well as 20 shots, compared to West Ham’s two.
Writing in his BBC Sport Team of the Week column, it was Aaron Wan-Bissaka that Deeney picked out, saying: “He’s been excellent since he left Manchester United, found his feet and got his confidence back.
“Did a really good job against Arsenal, looked like he was back to his best defensively and offered a bit going forward as well – but defensively he was solid.”

Deeney also named goalkeeper Alphonse Areola in his team, highlighting just how impressive the defensive work of West Ham was on Saturday.

West Ham need to build off their victory
Given how recently he came into his job at West Ham, Potter is unlikely to see his job under threat at this stage in the campaign.
However, given he had won just one game before Saturday, there was no doubt plenty of personal pressure on his shoulders so the victory will have taken a big weight off.
That being said, the Hammers have to make sure they build upon this now and try to go on a run using the motivation from the huge win in North London.
Although they have injury woes, Arsenal are not an easy side to beat so the Irons cannot take that result for granted.
Next up for the Hammers is Leicester City, a game that is certainly winnable and therefore, Potter’s side needs to approach this with the same mentality knowing a victory should be on the cards.
The new boss couldn’t do too much work throughout the winter transfer window so he can’t be judged too harshly yet.
However, there will be plenty of work to do in the summer window and the players in Claret and Blue now need to be playing for their future otherwise Potter will be forced to move them along.
