Tottenham and Leicester are still circling Jarrod Bowen
Scouts from Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are still circling West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen, according to the Independent.
The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from Hull City in January 2020, but that has not stopped suitors from eyeing him, and the trio has been viewers for a long while, with the homegrown factor making him an attractive target.
The Athletic reported in July that the Reds were interested in landing Bowen during the summer transfer window, and while nothing came out of it, they will continue to monitor his development.
The Hammers ace led the line against Manchester United on Sunday in Michail Antonio’s absence, and while he did not score, he assisted his side’s opener.
His ability to play across the offensive positions surely is another factor that is making Liverpool, Spurs and Leicester keep tabs on him, and more suitors will continue to emerge at this rate.
Gareth Southgate is considering handing Bowen a call-up, and he did put him on standby before naming his squad for last month’s World Cup qualifiers [Evening Standard].
Against the Red Devils, the Irons ace created four chances, registered four shots and contested more duels than any of his teammates.
He was impressive in possession and was tireless in harrying the opponents without the ball.
While he still has four more years left on his current deal, West Ham need to hand him a new contract if they want to have any chance of holding on to him.
The fans would not love to hear it, but the club should expect bids for him next summer, and a place in the Three Lions World Cup squad could be on the cards.
In other West Ham news, Roy Keane has been blown away by Hammers ace as he makes prediction.
