Torino present £9million offer for West Ham United ace Nikola Vlasic, now ‘waiting with confidence’

Torino have presented West Ham with an offer worth £9million in total for midfielder Nikola Vlasic, according to Calciomercato.

The publication noted that the Serie A club are now waiting for an answer from the Hammers with confidence, with the deal involving a €9million (£8million) fee plus €1million (£1million) bonus.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Torino, where he scored five goals and registered eight assists from his 37 matches in all competitions.

“Torino didn’t exercise their €15million (£13million) buyout right for Vlasic from West Ham but didn’t give up on the Croatian striker,” according to Calciomercato.

“The grenades have presented an offer of €9million plus €1million bonus to the English club and are now waiting with confidence.”

Welcome news

Vlasic has been one of many failed transfers at West Ham in recent years, but the club look certain to get him off their books this summer, this time permanently following his loan at Torino last season.

The Serie A club have clearly seen enough promise from the attacker to try and bring him to Italy on a permanent basis, and that will be welcome news to the Hammers, who could gain a significant fee for a player with seemingly no future at the London Stadium.

The East London outfit are already set to gain a huge financial boost from the likely sale of club captain Declan Rice, but they won’t say no to more funds from a Vlasic exit.

The Croatian arrived with much promise, but couldn’t find his feet in claret and blue, scoring just one goal and registering just two assists from his 31 matches in all competitions.

In other West Ham news, one pundit has tipped Rice to take the Arsenal captaincy in a Hammers transfer verdict.
