Torino chief shares update on potential Nikola Vlasic permanent exit from West Ham United
Nikola Vlasic has found a new lease of life away from West Ham United and Torino’s club president has been mightily impressed by him.
The Croatian international has been selected for the World Cup off the back of his fine start to the season in Serie A and he could soon be making his loan move from the London Stadium permanent.
President Urbano Cairo was asked by Tutto Mercato Web whether he would sign the 25-year-old permanently when the January transfer window opened but he remained coy on the situation.

“There are no assumptions about the transfer market, we are on matchday 14 and it’s early,” he said. “He’s doing very well and I like it, but the championship is long.
“Miranchuk is also very good, while Radonjic has made great plays and also scored. Too bad only for the Schuurs’ injury.”
Missed a trick
West Ham must have known that there was a very good player inside Vlasic somewhere because they are the ones who signed him for £25million from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2021.
But they showed zero patience with him in a year where they could afford to try new things out having qualified for Europe the season before.

David Moyes was far too quick to revert back to the likes of Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini who he knew well rather than give the Croatian a good run of games in the side from the start.
There were definitely glimpses of brilliance too on the rare occasion he got a chance but the boss simply would not put his faith in him for long enough to make a difference.
Torino are now set to reap the rewards of the stubborn Moyes by signing what could be a match-winning player on his day for a cheap price in the grand scheme of things.
