Tony Gale: Declan Rice has been exceptional for West Ham
Tony Gale has been left impressed with how Declan Rice has received the ball on the half turn for West Ham against Wolves on Saturday.
The 22-year-old has once again been busy in the middle of the park both with and without the ball.
He’s been tidy in distribution and without possession, he has closed down the opposition players pretty well.

Discussing one aspect of his game that’s improved, Gale, a Sky Sports pundit, said on the Premier League world feed, “He struggled when he was put in the back four initially under Bilic but he has improved dramatically.
“The way he receives the ball on the half turn is exceptional. Shown that time and again today.”
Meteoric rise
Rice at 22 seems more complete than most midfielders in the Premier League.
In a few years, he’s going to be one of if not the best in Europe in his position if he keeps improving the way he has recently.
There is a real danger that if the Hammers don’t improve at the same rate, he may want to leave for a bigger club.
Rice is clearly a player who deserves to play in the Champions League, and hopefully, he’s the one who brings Europe’s premier tournament to the London Stadium.

As of now, we’re enjoying what he’s bringing to the table for David Moyes’ side and hope that he keeps performing at this level.
This game appears to be there for the taking and is currently in the balance.
Rice has stifled Wolves’ midfielders for the majority of the first half and needs to do more of it in the second period as well.
