Tony Cottee reacts on Twitter as West Ham face Lyon in EL quarter-final
West Ham will face French outfit Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals after the draw has been confirmed today (18 March).
The first leg will be played at the London Stadium on April 7 followed by away second-leg on April 14.
If they progress through to the semi-final, the Hammers will face either of Barcelona or Eintracht Frankfurt. The semi-finals are scheduled for April 28 and May 5.

Tony Cottee has taken to Twitter to express his reaction after the draw was made. He wrote: “Lyon it is then. Full confidence in this West Ham team to get the job done. I wouldn’t mind a trip to the Nou Camp in the Semi.”
Confident
The Hammers should enter this tie with full confidence after securing a 2-1 aggregate win over Sevilla in the last 16.
David Moyes’ side lost 1-0 in the first leg, but came back strongly in the return leg at home to see off the challenges from the Spanish giants.
The Hammers boss will be hoping to witness another intense home atmosphere against Lyon.

It will be interesting to see how the Hammers approach the two-legged tie, as the first leg will be at home. The Hammers will have to make sure that they take a sizeable lead at the London Stadium ahead of the second leg.
The Hammers should only focus on what lies ahead, and they must quickly forget about this draw. It can’t be a distraction for them.
They have a big game coming up this weekend, the London derby against Tottenham, and it holds massive significance in the race for the top four.
