Tony Cottee makes prediction ahead of West Ham clash v Wolves

Tony Cottee has suggested that West Ham need a solid defensive performance against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday (27 February).

The Hammers are going through a stuttering form in the league, having managed two draws in a row.

Wolves are in great form at the moment, having won five of their last seven in the Premier League. Cottee has suggested that a 1-1 draw would be a good result.

Cottee wrote on Twitter: “Off to the Hammers today but fearing the worst against a good Wolves team. Maybe a 1-1 draw? We need a strong defensive performance!”

Big game

It’s a massive game for the Hammers, and they must look to secure all three points.

It won’t be easy though as Wolves have a strong defensive record, while the Hammers are struggling to score goals at the moment.

The top-four race is heating up and the Hammers must return to winning ways.

David Moyes’ side has got a week break to prepare strongly for this game.

The problem for West Ham is they are currently looking at individual brilliance to bail them out, and more often than not, the onerous burden has fallen on the shoulders of Jarrod Bowen.

The winger has been in spectacular form and his goals and assists have kept West Ham still in the race for the top-four spot.

Michail Antonio is struggling to score at the moment, and the Hammers boss will hope that he returns to his best form at a time when the club need him the most.

In other West Ham news, this senior player has picked up yet another injury ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
