Tomas Soucek posts brilliant Twitter message ahead of West Ham v Everton

Tomas Soucek is fully focussed on West Ham after scoring against Wales in the international friendly on Tuesday (29 March).

The Czech Republic midfielder played the entire game that ended in a 1-1 draw. He also played the entire game against Sweden in the World Cup qualifier last week.

The 27-year-old is a key player for the Hammers, and David Moyes needs him to be in top form as they enter the business end of the season.

Soucek wrote on Twitter: “I will now focus fully on our journey in West Ham.”

Big game

Soucek hasn’t been able to replicate the form of last season, but he has still managed to score four Premier League goals so far.

He has forged a strong partnership with Declan Rice in midfield and has thoroughly maintained a high-level performance this season. But, probably due to his role, he has had to curb his natural instincts.

Last season, Soucek was given more license to join the attack, and as a result, he was getting into dangerous areas to score.

This season, he has stayed back and allowed Rice to carry the ball forward into the box. While Rice has looked dangerous and lively, the output from his game is still missing.

Moyes will face his former club after the international break, and this is a big match for the Hammers. They need to put up a strong performance after losing 3-1 in the London derby against Tottenham in their previous fixture.

In other West Ham news, the club are chasing a six-figure deal to sign this exciting teenage talent from Scotland.
