Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have recommended Adam Hlozek to David Moyes

Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have both recommended Sparta Prague forward Adam Hlozek to West Ham United manager David Moyes.

According to The Athletic, the Hammers boss asked the Czech international duo which player from back home they would want him to sign, and they suggested the 18-year-old.

While West Ham are in need of a striker heading into the 2021-22 campaign, Moyes has his reservations over whether Hlozek can hit the ground running in the Premier League like his international teammates did [The Athletic].

Great recommendation

Soucek and Coufal are both confident of the youngster’s ability and potential to have told the West Ham boss to sign him, and we believe it is a gamble worth taking.

Failure to directly replace Sebastien Haller in January did not do our top-four chances a lot of favours despite Jesse Lingard’s impressive loan spell, and we cannot afford to start next season without a striker.

Hlozek ended 2020-21 as the joint-top scorer in the Fortuna Liga (Czech top-flight league) with 15 goals, all of which came in just 19 games.

The teenager was sidelined from November to March with a metatarsal fracture, and would have probably scored at least 10 more had he remained fit.

West Ham only have Michail Antonio as their primary striking option at the moment, and it is understandable if Moyes is not particularly keen on signing the young Hlozek to come in as cover and competition.

However, this kid looks every inch a world-beater in the making, and going by how his friends have fared at the London Stadium, there should be no worries over his ability to have an immediate impact.
