Tim Steidten to start West Ham United work on Monday after David Moyes talks
Tim Steidten will take up his role at West Ham United on Monday after the Hammers agreed terms with the 44-year-old, according to The Telegraph.
The former Bayer Leverkusen chief is set to take up the technical director role at the London Stadium, replacing Mark Noble (The Telegraph, 29 June).
The German has been in discussions with David Moyes and has been considered by other Premier League clubs due to his data-driven work.

Needed
A change of culture is now required.
The decision to place Mark Noble in the technical director role was ill-thought-out. It takes a very different type of mind to make sensible decisions on the transfer front.
Looking at last summer’s recruitment, there have been one or two success stories.
Gianluca Scamacca has been disappointing, and Maxwel Cornet has been injured for most of the season. Considering the money that was spent – more was expected from the Hammers’ recruits.

Now, with Steidten at the club and a large sum of money set to arrive after Declan Rice’s departure, a larger-scale overhaul can take place.
Looking to make Moyes’ squad more well-rounded has to be the German’s first priority. For too long West Ham have relied too heavily on Rice. With the 24-year-old on the brink of joining Arsenal, looking to add strength in depth for what promises to be another busy campaign is a must.
