Tim Steidten red flag raised as images emerge from West Ham win v Manchester United

Martin Allen raised a red flag at West Ham United as Tim Steidten was pictured on the pitch ahead of the 2-1 win against Manchester United.

The former Hammers player has raised concerns with the director’s constant presence around matchdays, previously describing the situation as “unbelievable”.

Steidten was at it again as he was pictured in the build-up to the clash at the London Stadium on Sunday [27 October], prompting Allen to offer his reaction via his personal X account [27 October].

He wrote “OMG”, along with a red flag emoji.

West Ham won’t be bothered about Tim Steidten after massive win

Allen should maybe take a page from the book of West Ham supporters and focus more on the matters on the pitch rather than the what is going on off it.

The Hammers were “poor” in the first half against Manchester United before Julen Lopetegui issued a triple half-time change, bringing life back into his depleted side.

Jean-Clair Todibo replaced Konstantinos Mavropanos to shore up the backline, Tomas Soucek replaced Lucas Paqueta to bring stability to the midfield, and Crysencio Summerville opened the scoring for the Irons after replacing Carlos Soler.

Danny Ings also entered the frame on 76 minutes in place of Michail Antonio and drew a foul from Matthijs de Light resulting in a 92-minute penalty which Jarrod Bowen calmly dispatched to secure a monumental three points for Lopetegui.

While the penalty decision has sparked heated debate among spectators, it will matter little to West Ham as their slow march up the Premier League table continues after the controversy that befell the side in the 4-1 loss against Tottenham last weekend.

Lopetegui is not out of the woods just yet and his job will continue to be the topic of discussion until the supporters are content the Spaniard has turned around his fortunes in East London.

However, the win against Manchester United could not have been more aptly timed and could be the perfect turning point for his side this season.
