This is what Graham Potter said about West Ham before sack as recent embargo lifts

Graham Potter’s disastrous tenure as West Ham boss is over.

Potter was sacked by West Ham on Saturday, just two days before the Hammers face Everton in the Premier League at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

West Ham have appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as his successor, and the Portuguese national will take charge of the Irons on 29 September.

The Hammers’ latest home defeat to Crystal Palace was seen as the final straw for the board, who have finally made the decision to sack the Englishman.

Graham Potter makes frank West Ham admission

Potter attended the West Ham press conference on Friday ahead of Monday’s clash with Everton, only to be sacked the next day.

Potter spoke to the media ahead of the game and admitted that ‘nobody was happy’ at West Ham.

More quotes, which had previously been embargoed, have now come out, with the former Chelsea man making another stark admission about the Hammers.

Writing in The Sun, Dave Kidd has revealed that Potter shared that West Ham didn’t ‘feel like my team’, in what can be seen as a dig at the owners.

The quote proved to be true, as less than 24 hours later, David Sullivan had decided to get rid.

Potter’s reputation has been damaged by his spell at West Ham, and he will struggle to get another high-level job after his latest debacle.

Nuno Espirito Santo is a solid appointment

Potter was never the right fit for West Ham, and fans at the London Stadium had grown sick of the football his side produced.

Nuno Espirito Santo can come in and help stabilise a team that has been reeling at the start of the season, just as he did at Nottingham Forest.

The Portuguese man’s teams have always been defensively solid, which is something West Ham have struggled with recently.

If he can come in and help settle things down, West Ham certainly have the players to stay and even thrive in the Premier League
